Angela’s career in the dental field amazingly spans over 40 years at this point, with over half of them spent right here at Dr. Redmond’s dental office. She attended the UAB Hygiene Program for her education and also has advanced training in dental insurance and CPR. Her favorite part of this job is being able to meet so many nice families through the years, as well as seeing their children grow up – all with beautiful smiles!
Originally from here in Sylacauga, Angela is married to her high school sweetheart with three daughters and six grandchildren. She is very thankful for her family and enjoys spending lots of quality time with them outside of working hours. She also loves riding horses.
Wanda has been a member of our dental team for over 25 years so far, and her career in the dental field impressively covers nearly 40 years! She loves building long-lasting relationships with patients and works very hard each day to create a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. She does her very best to help each person maximize their dental insurance benefits and plan out a manageable financial plan for important treatment. She attended UAB for her education and is also certified in CPR.
Originally from Sylacauga, Wanda and her husband have four grown children and three amazing grandchildren. Her hobbies outside of work include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and watching movies. She is thankful to God for his many blessing and his beautiful creation.
Kayla is a new addition to our team in 2020, and we’re happy to welcome her onboard. She completed her Associates in Dental Hygiene at Wallace State Community College, followed by her Bachelor’s in Biology (Pre-Dentistry) from Auburn University in Montgomery. Today, what she enjoys the most about her work is being able to help patients achieve the smile they want while also alleviating any anxiety they feel about coming to the dentist’s office. She also loves that the entire staff feels just like family!
While she was born in Georgia, Kayla actually grew up in the small town of Fayetteville on Lay Lake. She got married in June of 2020. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, going to church and showing people the love of God, and hanging out with her two Cheagle dogs and four cats at home.
Joany is a Sylacauga native, and she first joined Dr. Redmond’s team well over 20 years ago. She really enjoys being able to help patients achieve stunning smile transformations and understand the changes through “before” and “after” photos. She’s definitely the dental office clown too!
Joany and her husband have three kids, two grandsons, and two grand-dogs. When she isn’t busy at the dental office, you can usually find her doing yard work, sewing, going to church, playing music by ear, traveling, and spending quality time with the grandbabies.
Jamell has been a member of our team for 24.5 years now and has been in the dental profession for 33 years. She studied dental hygiene at the Alabama Dental Hygiene program in Birmingham. She received her license in June 1996. When is comes to what she enjoys most about her job, it’s being able to provide patients with the best quality care for the health of their teeth and gums. Showing patients how to improve their oral health. Jamell knows her career is very rewarding because of this. She is from Sylacauga and is married to her sweetheart Jeff. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and enjoying God’s beautiful creations.
Myra was born and raised in Sylacauga and has been in the dental profession for 36 years. Today, she has been working in the dental field for over 35 years so far. After first attending Nunnelley State Technical College, she received her dental education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and is also certified in CPR. She really enjoys helping patients maintain good oral hygiene over the years. Seeing them achieve the smile they want is always a wonderful experience!
Myra has a grown daughter who works as a Registered Nurse in Sylacauga. They are both hard workers and often come together in hard times. Outside of working hours, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and watching lots of movies on the Hallmark channel.
Melissa first joined Dr. Redmond’s team around a decade ago, and she has well over 20 years of experience in the dental field overall. She attended UAB for her dental hygiene education and is also certified in CPR. What she enjoys most about her work is spending quality time with the other team members and making so many new friends with patients!
Originally from Fayetteville, Melissa has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 25 years. Together, they have three children who are very active in school and various sports. One of her biggest passions outside of dentistry is fitness! She’s tried it all, including biking, swimming, Cross Fit, strength training, hot yoga, half marathons, and mini triathlons, to name a few – anything that gets her heart rate up! She also loves spending quality time at the lake and hanging out with her family. An interesting fact about her: she’s never had a speeding ticket before.
Sarah’s career in the dental field covers five years so far, and she actually helps design the dental crowns they make at the dental office! A person’s smile is such an important feature, and she really enjoys being able to improve it alongside Dr. Redmond.
Originally from Clay County, Sarah is married to her high school sweetheart. She is also the proud mom of a super spoiled Yorkipoo. Outside of work, she spends her free time baking sweets and making chocolate-colored strawberries – in fact, she has a little side business from home that’s called “Berries By Bug!” Her other hobbies include singing and dancing. She can quote every word of the following movies: Grease, Steel Magnolias, and Smokey and the Bandit.
Hayden studied dental assisting at Jefferson State Community College, and she’s thrilled to now be a member of Dr. Redmond’s team. More than anything else, she enjoys using her sense of humor to help our patients feel comfortable and ease away their fears and anxieties throughout the care process. Seeing them leave after their appointments with a new sense of self-confidence is always so rewarding. She also loves chowing down on snacks in the office whenever she has a free moment – that’s why her nickname is “Snacks!”
Outside of work, Hayden comes from a one–of–a–kind family that includes her parents and her older brother. They all keep life fun! In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with loved ones at the lake, traveling, shopping, eating Taco Bell, and enjoying football Saturdays. Here’s an interesting tidbit about her: she’s never had a cavity before.
Katie is an Alexander City native and in August of 2020, married her best friend. Katie has 2 dogs who are spoiled rotten and loves to spend weekends at Lake Martin or watching Alabama football. Not only does she have a wonderful family at home, but the best work family too. She considers herself very lucky.
Originally from Fayetteville, AL, Jordan has been working in the dental field for 12 years. She attended the UAB Hygiene Program and is certified in CPR. Jordan enjoys spending time with family and friends and especially with her niece and nephew. She takes her dog wherever she goes and loves to be outdoors, travel, watch Alabama football, and drive her Jeep.
Laycee was raised in Sylacauga, Alabama, and is married with 2 sons. Laycee enjoys spending time with her family camping and watching her oldest ride sheep at the rodeo. Laycee and her family also love spending their days around the pool. She attended C.A.P. Stone dental assisting school and has worked In the dental field for three years. Laycee loves to travel and has been to 49 different states.
